This
website is dedicated to information and reporting
of RML AD Group's sports prototype project,
contesting in the international Le Mans
Series, the Le Mans 24 Hours and other major
motorsports events.
With
support from the AD Group of companies, RML
introduced their sportscar programme in 2003.
Eight seasons followed, with
Mike Newton and Thomas Erdos campaigning with
great success, including two class wins in
the Le Mans 24 Hours (2005 &
2006) and the Le Mans
Series LMP2 title in 2007 and 2010. Between
2003 and 2008 the team raced with MG, starting
with the EX257, following on with the Judd-engined
EX264 in 2005 - a direct development of the EX257
- and then the MG EX264 in 2006. Employing an
AER turbocharged 2-litre engine, the EX264 took
RML to a second consecutive class win at Le Mans
and a string of six unbeaten qualifying poles.
The updated MG Lola EX265 was introduced in 2008,
culminating in the launch of the EX265 Coupé
in September. At the end of 2008 the link with
MG was finally broken, and the team ran Mazda
engines in 2009. 2010 heralded a new two-year
partnership with Honda Performance Development
(HPD) Inc, initially as engine suppliers, then
with the HPD ARX chassis. In 2012, the team is
taking a sabbatical.
